During the first week of May, many high school senior athletes heard the dreaded news that their spring sports season was officially canceled. This meant no practices, no games/competitions/meets, no Sectional Championships and no ‘Senior Night.’ However, the Monroe County Public School Athletic Conference (MCPSAC) was still able to find a way to still honor these athletes. Thursday, May 14th, was designated by the MCPSAC as Senior Spring Athlete Recognition Day.

The Honeoye Falls-Lima Athletic Department shined a bright light on the recognition day by turning on the district’s stadium lights and scoreboard at 8:20 PM (2020 hrs) on Thursday.  The score read 20 to 20 with a of time of 20:20 and both teams with 20 shots. The team names were set to “SENIORS” and “WE LUV U.” Since the campus is closed, the athletic department posted a video containing video and pictures from the event (see below).
