HF-L Middle School chorus earns honor at festival

The Honeoye Falls-Lima community once again earned the Best Communities for Music Education honor in 2018 and the HF-L Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade chorus provided a glimpse of why the community earned the designation this year with its performance at a festival this spring.

On May 12, the seventh- and eighth-grade chorus competed in the Darien Lake Music Festival. The chorus received the highest-ranking grade level of Outstanding with Distinction. In addition, four students received awards. Will Tomaszewski received an Outstanding Soloist Award (kazoo) and Molly Connors an Outstanding Soloist Award (scat singing). Clara Bradley earned an Outstanding Accompanist Award (Djembe-drum). Katherine Stansbury received an Outstanding Accompanist Award (piano).
