While the Senior High and Junior High Area All-State Music festivals were cancelled in November, two students from Honeoye Falls-Lima were selected for and participated in the 85th Annual Winter Conference All-State on December 2-5. The Winter Conference this year was held here in Rochester.
Senior Ella Peters was in the Mixed Chorus and senior Dan Atkinson was in the Instrumental Jazz Ensemble. Senior Will Tomaszewski was chosen for both Mixed Chorus and Symphonic Band, but did not participate. Junior Maegan Frame was an alternate for the Mixed Chorus.
High School instrumental teacher Dr. Ken Kreuzer attended the Conference as the students’ chaperone and got to see much of their rehearsals as well as attending several classes geared toward different aspects of music education.

The Mixed Chorus and Instrumental Jazz Ensemble performed in concert on December 4 along with the All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. The All-State Symphonic Band and All-State Symphony Orchestra performed at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre on December 5.
