Five members of the Class of 1953 from Honeoye Falls Central School District gathered at Flaherty’s Restaurant in Honeoye Falls on Friday, July 21 to celebrate 70 years graduating from HFCS.
The class members were Lawrence Pringle, Margaret (Garvey) Armer, Amaryllis (Sleight) Shellman, Priscilla (Hunt) Sampson and Betty (Rapp) Vail. Several guests celebrated with them including Muffy Meisenzahl, Michael Shellman, Judy Frame, Susan Pringle, Mary Lou Egan, Vince Sampson and Ed and Nancy Rapp.
Two albums of photos and activities, as well as a Class Photo, were on display for all to enjoy.
One of the conversations that came up was how they were at Frank’s Drug Store in the village for lunch at noon every day enjoying a 10 cent strawberry float.
They also remembered their deceased class members with a moment of prayer.
Larry Pringle (an author of children’s books) displayed some of his books he signed and let his classmates choose one to take home. The classmates say “Thank You Larry!”
Everyone savored the food and a decorated cake as well as orange and black carnations (the school’s colors) were there for all to relish.
