On Saturday, April 11th, over 100 people came together for the 46th Mendon Fire Department Annual Banquet at Westminster Hall.

It was a night to celebrate service, commitment, and the people who continue to answer the call for our community.

They recognized:
Ryan Buchanan, Rookie of the Year
Ben Cook, Firefighter of the Year
Ken Hampson, Chief’s Award
Joe Martin, President’s Award
Mike Arman – Past President

A highlight of the evening was honoring Past Chief John Shipe with the MFD Axe, recognizing 50 years of service. John was joined by his wife Lynn, family, local leadership, and received proclamations from New York State officials, a well-earned tribute to a lifetime of dedication.

They also celebrated our top call responders, Tom Sellman, Nancy Rovik, Chris Battle, Deputy Chief Dave Friedlander, Dick Joint, and Ben Cook, for their outstanding commitment throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Westminster Hall and to all who continue to serve the Mendon community.
