The kindergarten and first grade students at Lima Primary School celebrated Flag Day on June 14 with music and a ceremony. The students learned about the flag and each received a flag and paraded around the block. The students and staff also honored service members, firefighters, police officers and EMT’s.
Family members of the students who were or are in the armed services and emergency service professions were invited to join the students for the ceremony and were recognized at the ceremony as well as included on the school’s wall of recognition.
The students celebrate many nationally-recognized days, including Arbor Day.. On April 29, the students celebrated Arbor Day by planting trees at Mark Tubbs Park in the village of Lima.
