The kindergarten and first-grade students at Lima Primary School participated in two recent celebrations, the first one revolved around reading in conjunction with Dr. Seuss’ birthday during the Read Across America week in March and the other a tradition of caring for the earth on Arbor Day.
The children enjoyed the love of reading with the entire week devoted to activities around reading. That included a Read Across America Family Night on March 15.
On April 26, the students took part in helping the earth through a Tree Planting at Mark Tubbs Park in Lima. Staff and students annually plant a tree in the park in celebration of Arbor Day.
