The Livingston County Historian’s Office has announced the release of their new book, entitled “Women’s Biographical Review: Achievers, Leaders, & Role Models.”

Written by Livingston County Historian Amie Alden and Deputy County Historian Holly C. Watson, the limited-edition book is a compilation of information on 200 women associated with Livingston County from all eras, towns in the County, and walks of life, said Alden.

“This reference book is timely and, frankly, long overdue,” explained Alden. “Some women’s names are easily recognizable, and many are likely new to the reader, but well known in their communities. Then there are women who had roots in Livingston County but left a significant mark elsewhere.”

The books cost $28 each and are available for sale at the Livingston County Historian’s Office at 5 Murray Hill Drive, Mt. Morris, NY 14510, or online through the County Historian’s webpage. Shipping is also available on orders made through the website.
