Capping a wonderful Fall Weekend for many alumni was the Honeoye Falls High School and Honeoye Falls-Lima High School Annual Alumni Reunion on October 4.

Over 100 alumni and around 130 people total gathered for the annual reunion at Flaherty’s Restaurant in Honeoye Falls.

This year’s honored classes were the Honeoye Falls High School classes of 1956, 1961 and 1966 and the HF-L classes of 1971, 1976, 1981 and 1986. Honeoye Falls and Lima merged their school districts in the summer of 1969 with the first graduating class of the combined schools being 1970.

The attendees from the Honeoye Falls Class of 1954, Kim DeMartinis and Ann Desmann Kase, were from the earliest class at the reunion. There were five other alumni who graduated from Honeoye Falls in the 1950s at the reunion this year: Shirley Menz DeMartinis (Class of 1955), Ila Drowne Perrone, Johanna O’Brien and Sidney Burton (all Class of 1957) and Les Desmann (Class of 1958). While there were no attendees from the HF Class of 1956, there were five from the Class of 1961: Bill Banser, Bobbie Lord Banser, Liz Desmann, Terry Smith and Marna Steffen Evans. There were four members of the HF Class of 1966: Brian Ainsworth, Ralph Akin, Janet Burton Reese and Bill Masterman. Bernie Briceland was the lone representative from the HF-L Class of 1971. There was no one from the HF-L Class of 1981, but the HF-L Class of 1986 had three representatives: Missy Ford Rosenberger, Debbie Pike Hogan and Bill Stinson.

The reunion began at noon and lasted until 4 p.m. with a welcome, remarks and announcements from the Reunion Committee at around 2 p.m. Alumni enjoyed a full buffet luncheon along with a brief program. On the tables were booklets with the names of those attending as well as the names of alumni who passed away between last year’s reunion on September 28 and the closing date for information for the booklet which was September 14, 2026.

Those alumni who were remembered in the booklet this year were Bernard Drowne (1940), Margaret Rebman Snoddy (1943), Evelyn Batzel Duncan (1950), Virginia Herington Tesch (1953), Mary Ann Finnegan Roesch (1954), Mildred Yorks Hayton (1954), Sheila Cooney Swigert (1955), Shirley Vahue Carpenter (1955), Lois Jennejahn Lambert (1956), James Gleisle (1957), Doris Belcher Paine (1958), Bob Havens (1959), Ronald Ward (1959), Dudley Pease (1960), Shirley Ford (1961), Edward Reilly (1961), Barbara Schmidt Malcolm (1961), Lois White Ryan (1961), Clarence Spohr (1962), Ernest Herington (1963), Jaren Pease Tortora (1963), Donald Menz (1965), Linda Amorese Abbott (1967), Madelyn Lemperle Griffin (1967), John Thorp (1968), Asa Burton (1970), John Matthews (1971), Rodney Batte (1972), Alan Dean (1972), Gregory Ripley (1972), Patricia Neill Boone (1973), Linda Farron Knapp (1974), Jeff Todd (1976), Nancy Dolliver (1976), June Henning Lippert (1976), Stephen Hansen (1976), Colleen Briceland (1979), Joseph Hammond (1979) and David Zona (1986).
