Starting June 14th, the Mendon Public Library has swapped its Saturday hours to extend open hours during the week. On Monday, June 14th, the Mendon Public Library will be open 9 am – 8 pm Monday through Thursday and 9 am – 3 pm on Friday. The library will be closed on Saturdays until after Labor Day.
After reviewing the CDC, NYSDOH, and MCDOH, the Mendon Public Library policy is:
- If you are vaccinated AND are comfortable, you are not required to be masked. Unvaccinated adults and children are required to wear masks.
- The plexiglass barriers will remain up for now.
- The library will follow the NYS guidelines of the honor system regarding facemask compliance.
- Please still have a mask with you in case you are in close contact with others.
- With Summer Reading Programs and group settings, especially with children, please be cautious and wear a mask.
- Eating and drinking within the library is still prohibited.
- Curbside service is available. Call 624-6067 or email mendonlibrarycirculation@libraryweb.org if you have any questions.
The collection of hold fees remains suspended. However, for those wishing to show their appreciation for this service and help defer any resulting budget deficits, a donation jar is available.
This June marks the 10th Anniversary of the beautiful library at 22 North Main Street. Today, more than ever, we appreciate the space, accessibility, and modern amenities that this treasured building provides to our community. We encourage everyone to visit the library, to continue to gather, discuss, learn, and enjoy.
