The Mendon Republican Committee is proud to announce its endorsed candidates for the November election. Of the seven candidates, there are new additions to the team. Brent Rosiek, is finishing his first term on the Town Council and will lead the ticket in a bid to be the next Town Supervisor.

“I am excited to be running for election alongside an outstanding group of candidates who are dedicated to promoting and preserving the character of Mendon” said Mendon Councilperson Brent Rosiek. “Together, we will continue to provide essential quality of life services while remaining committed to the fiscal responsibility to keep our property taxes low. With support from our friends, neighbors, and fellow residents, our team will work hard to ensure the Town of Mendon retains the hometown character we all are proud of.”

Serving the Town of Mendon since 2013, initially as the Chair of the Planning Board and then in 2022 as a Town Council member, Brent Rosiek will be running for the first time as Town Supervisor. A resident of Mendon for more than 45 years, he operates Rosiek Engineering, a Civil Engineering Firm.

David Smith is a first-time candidate to the Town Council and a resident of Mendon for more than 20 years. David and his wife raised nine-children in Mendon. David is a retired captain from the Brighton Fire District and runs his local family-owned business, David Smith Irrigation. David stated “Having lived here for over two decades, I have witnessed the challenges and opportunities Mendon faces. I am particularly passionate about supporting small businesses while preserving our town’s cherished rural character and working toward improving local infrastructure to meet the needs of our growing community.”

Danielle Liberatore is a first-time candidate to the Town Council and a resident of Mendon for more than 9 years. Danielle and her husband are raising 3 children here. Danielle serves on the Planning Board, is a Realtor with Re/Max Realty and has served in leadership positions in multiple community organizations. Danielle stated “As a mother and a community leader, I’m especially passionate about creating a Town where our youth are supported, inspired, and given every opportunity to thrive.”

Amanda Balling is a first-time candidate for Mendon Town Justice and a resident of Mendon for more than 9 years. Amanda and her husband are raising two children here. Amanda began her career with the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, prosecuting some of the most difficult cases. Amanda began her own law practice in 2023, Balling Law. P.C. Amanda stated “I’m running for Mendon Town Justice because you deserve a justice who is fair, impartial, and deeply committed to upholding the law with integrity and respect.”

Tom Voorhees is a first-time candidate for Town Council and running for a two-year term to fill the seat opened by a mid-term resignation. For more than three decades, Tom served the Town of Mendon as Code Enforcement Officer, Fire Marshal, and Building Inspector. Since retirement Tom has continued to serve the Town as a member of the Planning Board, as a member the Zoning Board of Appeals, and most recently as Highway Superintendent which he will serve through the end of 2025. Tom stated “It’s been a privilege to serve this community for so many years, and I would be honored to continue that service on the Town Board. I humbly ask for your support.”

Peter Doyle is a first-time candidate for Highway Superintendent and a lifelong resident of Mendon. Peter joined the Honeoye Falls Fire Department at 20 years old and has served as a past chief. He continues to serve the organization today as Warden on the Board of Directors and also is a certified EMT who has served the Honeoye Falls Ambulance. Peter stated “This community has shaped who I am—and I’m ready to give back by serving in a role that keeps Mendon moving forward.”

Michelle Booth is running for re-election as Town Clerk, a position she has held since 2021 and has served the Town in multiple capacities since 2015. Michelle is a proud wife, mom, and grandma. Family means everything to Michelle, and that same sense of care and dedication is what she brings every day to the Town Hall and the residents. Michelle stated “I’d love the chance to continue serving you, and I’d be so grateful for your support! Let’s keep Mendon moving forward—together!”
