The Honeoye Falls Fire Department rescued a driver who was involved in a rollover crash on Clover Street on February 4.

HFFD was called shortly before 1 a.m. to Clover Street just over Davis Hill. First Assistant Chief Dave Hood arrived and reported a person trapped. There were live wires down and trees and brush surrounded the vehicle.

In addition to HFFD equipment, Rush Fire Department was called for its heavy rescue with additional tools and manpower. The vehicle involved in the crash needed to be stabilized and secured before the driver could be extricated. The downed power lines and brush complicated the operation, fire officials said. After over an hour of steady efforts, the driver was removed and transported to the hospital.
