This year marked the 15th year that the Rosary Women of St Paul of the Cross Church have sponsored the collection of Toiletry Items for Bethany House, a Catholic Worker House of Hospitality, in Rochester, serving homeless women and their children.
Because of the virus, we asked our parishioners in the cluster to decorate and fill their own bags, at home. The Rosary women supplied the Bags that included decorations, tissue, ribbon and a list of 12 essential items needed to fill the gift bags. The other 2 churches in our cluster, St. Rose, in Lima and St. Agnes, in Avon also participated in the collection, as well as, our Faith Formation Families. An overwhelming 70 bags were collected! Because of the large number of donations, we were able to share some with Mary’s Place, a refugee outreach center in Rochester, as well as, with
The Margaret Home, in East Rochester, a home that assists women in all stages of pregnancy.
We are so blessed to have been able to provide more than 500 gift bags over the years, through the kindness and generosity of our parishioners. Photo provided by Sue Reynolds
