A portion of Cheese Factory Road in Mendon was closed for a while in the morning on Monday, August 9, due to a crash.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the road was closed between Pride Street and Quaker Meeting House Road after a landscaping truck lost control of a trailer it was towing and struck a utility pole causing the pole and wires to come down and block the road at about 7:30 a.m., officials said. National Grid was on the scene working to repair the damage and bring power back to residents and businesses in the area.
On Friday, August 6, a vehicle struck the Five Star Bank building in Honeoye Falls. The crash created a gouge in a wall of the building.
No injuries were reported in either crash.
