Police closed a section of Mendon Ponds Park Thursday, July 21st, after reports of suspicious activities around Devil’s Bathtub. At the time, two sons of a missing Penfield man, 1984 Pittsford-Mendon graduate Craig Rideout, were reported dumping material. They were arrested and arraigned in Mendon Town Court. Their father was later identified as a murder victim found in Yates County. Their mother who is Rideout’s estranged spouse was also arrested. All three were charged with evidence tampering.
