Towns, Villages, Counties, and School Districts are allowed under state law to promote the economic well-being of their community and recognize the service of community members through property tax exemptions. The Honeoye Falls – Lima Central School District will hold a public hearing in the High School Auditorium at 7pm on September 15th. Members of the public are welcome to attend this meeting, learn about property tax exemptions, and comment on whether the district should make any changes to its current exemptions or provide for any new exemptions.
This public hearing will focus on three exemptions. These are: 1) Senior citizen and disability exemptions; 2) Veterans Exemptions, and 3) First Responders Exemptions.
This purpose of this public hearing is for the Board of Education to gather input from the community. No action will be taken by the Board at this time.
