At the June 17 Honeoye Falls Community Concert Band concert at Harry Allen Park, one of the pieces the band played was titled “Extra, Extra: A Nostalgic Celebration of the Daily Newspaper” by Daniel Moore. Rather than just announce the piece and explain the three movements, the band started the piece with a “newspaper boy” selling papers, played here by Tori Charlebrois. The Sentinel was incorporated into the introduction with this poster of a “front page” of The Sentinel announcing “Band Plays Concert.”
The band’s next concert is July 15 at the Lake George Community Band Festival, which is a huge festival in the Lake George area.
The final concert of the season for the band is the Music and Movie in the Park on July 28 at Harry Allen Park.
