The Lima Public Library celebrated the end of their Summer Reading Party on August 9. The goal was to read Waldo to the moon. Every page read was equal to one mile. In order to make it from Earth to the moon, readers had to read 238,000 pages. They made it close and the library staff wants to thank every single person who participated! The staff will attempt to get Waldo the rest of the way—80,000 miles—by the end of September. Stay tuned to see if they succeed!
The prize drawing consisted of 2 children’s bikes, helmets, and locks (generously donated by Five Star Bank in Honeoye Falls). It also included 2 $25 Amazon gift cards, one for the teen category and one for the adult category. The winners of the children’s bikes were Rebekah
Lakra (photo above (left) and Yedediyah Armaly (photo above right). The winners of the Amazon gift cards were Olivia Hunt (photo directly above) and Anthony Catalano (not pictured). Thank you to everyone who participated!
