The Mendon Public Library Board of Trustees recently elected Molly Ortiz-Brazak as President, Anne-Marie Gordon as Corresponding Secretary, Craig Moscicki as Treasurer, and Cristina Romig as Vice President. Joining them on the Board are members and Past Presidents Bruce Peckham, and Larry Young, as well as new Board of Trustee Member, Alicia Cromwell.
Dr. Alicia Cromwell was born and raised in Honeoye Falls. She is a physician at Honeoye Valley Family Practice. She and her husband have two sons and they can often be found enjoying Story Time at the library.
At any given time, a five- to eleven-member Board of Trustees governs the Mendon Public Library. The trustees are responsible for establishing written policies to govern and guide all aspects of library service. This includes future planning for the library, financial accountability, setting policies, and hiring a director for the Mendon Public Library.
A cornerstone of the Mendon community since 1936, Mendon Public Library offers patrons over 48,000 items in its own collection and access to over 1 million items in the Monroe County Library System. Non-print materials include audio books in multiple formats, including CDs and mp3s, and free downloadable books and audio books.
