Bird lovers, families, and hikers come and join other bird lovers for bird walks along the Lehigh Valley Trail, Mark Tubbs Park, Honeoye Haven, Sibleyville Nature Reserve and Great Bend Park for five dates, starting on April 26.
Geoff Gretton and Connie Kellogg, long-time bird enthusiasts, will lead the walks. Identify and observe a variety of birds by song and sight. There is no cost. No signup or registration required.
Dates & Locations of Walks:
April 26, 2025: Lehigh Valley Trail – Plains Rd – Rochester Junction entrance www.mendonfoundation.com.
May 3, 2025: Honeoye Haven – Mendon Foundation Property - 1136 Mendon Center Rd. Park across the street off the road. The group will meet there for directions.
May 10, 2025: Great Bend Park – Meet at the parking lot off Clover Street. http://www.townofmendon.org/images/Great_Bend_Park_1.pdf
May 17, 2025: Sibleyville Nature Reserve – Mendon Foundation Property. Take 15A to Plains Road. The parking lot will be about 2/10 of a mile on the right off Plains Road.
May 24, 2025: Mark Tubbs Park, Lima – 7384 Ziegler Drive, Lima
Meet at 7:45 am sharp. All bird walks begin at 8:00 am. Be sure to wear appropriate weather gear and hiking shoes. Do not forget your binoculars and camera.
