Earlier this month, the Mendon Public Library’s very own Knit Nook distributed over 150 hand knit items to residents of Lima, Honeoye Falls and Mendon through Friends in Service Here (F.I.S.H.). This community-minded effort aims to help “Keep Mendon Warm” by distributing lovingly-knit hats, gloves, scarves, and socks.
Throughout the school year, the Knit Nook meets at the Mendon Public Library every other Thursday (2nd and 4th of month) from 10 am – 11:30 am. The Knit Nook welcomes all to join them at their knit sessions. For those unable to join them, they offer a basket of patterns and yarn available at the library year-round.
