Village of Honeoye Falls Mayor Rick Milne is pleased to announce that Virginia Butler Floss has been appointed to fill the Village Board of Trustees position that was recently vacated by Shari Stottler due to a move outside the Village of Honeoye Falls boundaries.
“I am pleased that Virginia “Ginny” has accepted this appointment and I know that she will be a great addition to this very cohesive board. Ginny comes with an incredible community service background both locally as well as outside the Honeoye Falls community,” Milne said.

Upon her retirement from media, her passion for helping at- risk youth, and mental health issues has led her to be involved with many organizations. Floss leads virtual and in person training sessions on the Mental Health First Aid skills. These Mental Health skills support youth who may need assistance until they can receive professional support. She is a dedicated 988 Crisis Counselor.
Floss has served on the Village of Honeoye Falls Fire Hall committee and is involved with Honeoye Falls – Mendon ROTARY Club as well. She and her husband Dennis have lived in Honeoye Falls for 31 years and raised three sons who all attended HF-L.
Officials welcome Virginia Butler Floss to the Village Board. In March 2023, there will also be two Village Board of Trustees positions open for election (4-year terms) on the normal Village election cycle.
