To Seek Funding for New Mobile App

jack-headshot-colorJack McDonald, a member of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Class of 2015, recently created his own mobile application start-up called TripHelp LLC. Jack is a current freshman at Wofford College located in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he runs in Division I track, competing in the decathlon while majoring in Finance and Accounting.
TripHelp is an all-inclusive travel application, that will find the most efficient and cost effective way from getting from point

A to point B. Jack came up with the idea in the summer on his way to school, but did not develop anything on it until his winter break when he applied to work with Appster, the Australian based mobile app service company that established its American base in 2014 in San Francisco. According to Forbes, “By many measures, Appster is already successful in Australia… But by moving to Silicon Valley, Appster is looking to compete in the big leagues where people just as young and ambitious are plenty.” The company expects to earn AU$100 million in revenues in 2018.

Jack was selected from more than one hundred applicants to work with Appster and develop his idea into a product. From there he decided to start his own business while working side by side with the mobile app developer. Jack recently returned from California where he worked with Appster for a few days to expand and grow his company.

He is currently seeking investors and working virtually three full-time jobs – as a student, an entrepreneur, and an athlete.

Jack is planning to have prototypes launched this summer and a final product to be launched in September of this year. Check out his website at triphelpllc.com and his Facebook page.
