The Mendon Community Business Association (MCBA) is excited for the new year ahead. The organization is a collaborative group of business owners and professional individuals who work to serve the hamlet of Mendon and local area through hosting events to enhance the life, vitality, community connection and beauty of our quaint and special hamlet.

The new slate of officers for 2024 includes Laura Villanti of At Home With Wellness – President, Angela Hollick of Westminster – Vice President, and David Gascon of 20 Deep Winery – Secretary/Treasurer.

The MCBA has been coordinating efforts and resources over the past several months to bring together an extra special experience for the total solar eclipse on Monday April 8th – THE SUN, MOON and MENDON. They have a weekend of fun activities planned for everyone – children and adults.  More details will be coming soon with regard to local viewing gatherings, where to get your glasses, commemorative t-shirts and special events around this total solar eclipse.  It will be another 20 years before a total solar eclipse is here in the US, so we are capturing this experience in a memorable way.

The organization has a NEW website under development.   Another exciting project for the coming year is the creation of a hand designed map of the hamlet including local businesses and places of interest.  MCBA is a growing and vibrant group of members who enjoy enhancing the life and community connection of residents and businesses in the hamlet and local area.

MCBA hosts an annual Spring Beautification event for the Hamlet of Mendon.  This event is on May 18, 2024 from 9-11am.  We invite all residents and businesses to take part in bringing a pop of spring and beauty to our hamlet, the Lehigh Valley Trail and beyond.

Last September, the MCBA hosted the first annual Mendon Festival.  It was a fun family event day with many vendors and artisans along the Lehigh Valley Trail in addition to music and food at multiple locations. MCBA is planning to host the second annual Mendon festival coming in September 2024.

Holidays in the Hamlet is held annually the first Wednesday after Thanksgiving.  This event has become a community favorite and continues to grow each year.  This past December included horse drawn wagon rides through the hamlet in addition to Mendon Academy, Westminster and Mendon 64 hosting several artisans and Santa.

The MCBA group meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 12-1pm at the Schnacky Center.  We welcome any local business owners to join us.  Please reach out to laura@athomewithwellness.com if you would like more info on the MCBA or to join us at a monthly meeting.
