Two Honeoye Falls-Lima eighth graders, Tristan Hildreth and Charlie Marasco, won their division in the Gus Macker 3 on 3 basketball tournament on June 27-28. The two boys teamed with Kyler Marvin from Wayne County to win the 13-14 age group.
“I love playing pick-up with my friends,” said Marasco. “We went 4-0, but we had some very stressful close games. In the end, we pulled through, and I was glad to work with my teammates to get the championship. I think this is great for the Rochester community. I’m going to be battling some of these kids throughout my high school career, so it’s fun to get together for a short pick-up game.”
