On Monday, April 4th, the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District announced it has developed a new video series, titled HF-L Oversimplified. Each episode will cover a different topic regarding the school budget. The goal of the series is to simplify elements of the school budget to help the community better understand the district’s budget process, how the district is funded and other elements of the budget.
The first episode of the series was posted on April 4 to the district’s website and its numerous social media channels. During the three-and-a-half-minute video, Dr. Bruce Capron, Assistant Superintendent for Business & Operations, explains what the tax cap is and how it is calculated. Dr. Capron also discusses when a supermajority vote is needed to pass the school budget rather than simple majority vote.
Keep checking the district’s website and social media accounts for future installments of HF-L Oversimplified.
