The Village of Honeoye Falls in conjunction with the Honeoye Falls Fire Department will be forming a committee to evaluate the Honeoye Falls Fire Department facility and options to upgrade the current building or to consider a new facility in the future. The current facility is aging and the fire department in many ways has outgrown the facility. However, the building remains functionable and structurally sound.
This committee will discuss and evaluate current needs as well as projected needs for the local fire service to assist in determining the best path forward for the village community. While this is not a short-term process or a project that will be decided upon quickly, it is an important community issue, and this is a good time to begin this evaluation.
Letters of interest to serve on this committee should be sent to the following: (Village@Villageofhoneoyefalls.org) via email or via US Mail or Village Hall drop off to the attention of the following: Rick Milne, Mayor and Dave Hood, Chief , 5 East Street, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472
Village officials hope to include on the committee persons with backgrounds in finance, engineering, planning, emergency services and construction. Certainly, persons who are simply interested in serving in this capacity are also welcome to submit a letter of interest. The committee will be limited in size and only persons who have sent in letters of interest with a detail of their background will be considered. This committee will not be limited to village residents; however, village residents will be afforded preference based upon responses and subject to the needs of the committee.
