Even a little bit of rain which forced the later group of students and family members to eat inside could not put a damper on the annual Teddy Bear picnic at Lima Primary School this year.
Kindergarten and first-grade students with earlier lunch periods were able to enjoy their picnic food outside with their families on June 9. Unfortunately, just after noon, a steady drizzle forced students and families inside to eat in the school gymnasium.
The picnic is an annual tradition and one of the events signaling the end of the academic year.
Among the favorite “stuffies” seen at the picnic with their young owners were numerous bears of all sizes and colors. There were, however, other stuffed animals present including cats, dogs, rabbits, frogs and turtles. There was even a Baby Yoda, a couple of dolls and a stuffed Minion seen clutched in the hands of the youngsters.
