The leadership of the Mendon Public Library is thrilled to be discussing the options available to them with a recent donation from the May K. Houck Foundation. Issued in April of 2017, the $6,000 grant will allow the library to consider expenditures not covered in the Mendon Public Library General Operating Budget. These funds will have a tremendous positive impact for the patrons of the Mendon Public Library.
The May K. Houck Foundation has long been a tremendous supporter of the Mendon Public Library. Since 2011, the May K. Houck Foundation has contributed more than $40,000 to the Friends of the Mendon Public Library. These funds have assisted the Library in increasing accessibility (extended hours, 24-hour book drop), technology (kindles and electronic resources), and services (collection and design improvements).
May K. Houck was a benevolent individual and her foundation contributes to worthy causes, as determined by the trustees.
