Team Ali-Gaiters is hosting their 14th Annual Clambake event to support the Golisano Children’s Hospital on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 2-7 p.m. at the Honeoye Falls Fireman’s Training Grounds, 321 Monroe Street in Honeoye Falls.
The clam bake is a family friendly event which features live music, food, beverages, clowns, costume characters, pony rides, bouncy houses, raffles, 50/50’s and more.
After Ali Klube’s successful treatment in 2002 for a serious heart condition, her parents were inspired to give back to GCH in appreciation for the phenomenal care they received. The group took on the name “Team Ali- Gaiters” using a clever play on the word gait, which is a way of walking. Their enthusiasm blossomed as they discovered how much they could help and how many ways there were to get involved with the Children’s Hospital. In 2003 Team Ali Gaiters launched their first clambake event. Five years into their fundraising effort’s, Ali’s cousin Nathan was born with a serious heart condition. Nathan received the same exceptional care as Ali and has already had three open-heart surgeries to repair his heart. Nathan’s experience inspired the team to deepen their commitment and as a result, they have been dedicated supporters of the GCH raising over a quarter of a million in the past 13 years.
Tickets are $35 in advance for adults/$40 at the door; $10 for ages 13-18 and it is free for children 12 and under. Advance sale tickets can be purchased at the following locations: FSI Office – 90 Goodway Road in Rochester, American Hotel in Lima, Village Hair Salon in Lima, Cycle Enterprise in West Bloomfield, Miller Lanes in Honeoye Falls and Canandaigua National Bank at the Honeoye Falls and Bloomfield branches.
