On Wednesday September 22nd, Pittsford Rotary hosted their annual Teddy Bear Picnic fundraiser for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Honeoye Falls-Mendon Rotary teams up with them each year to be part of their event. It was a great success as over 300 stuffed animals were donated. Deputies hand them out to children on calls.

As the President of HF-M Rotary, I have the opportunity to be part of the first step in this cause,” HF-M Rotary President Jeff Klein said. “As a police officer, I was very fortunate to see where these donations end up. The bottom line is they make kids smile during a traumatic event in their lives, providing comfort and a glimmer of hope.

There are more people in our community who have stuffed animals that need a home. I really want these stuffed animals to end up in the arms of a kid who really needs it.”

If you have a new stuffed animal (with tags, please) that you would like to donate, please reach out to Klein at jeffklein2015@gmail.com and the HF-M Rotary will make sure they get picked up and delivered to MCSO.
